Do i get my mothers Social Security Check in college instead of Highshool?

My mother died and i get a Social Security Check from her. and i am trying to drop out of high school because i want to major and go for computer networking in collage and get my GED instead of my high school diploma and and i am wondering will i still get my mothers Social Security Check while going to college and the adult learning center because it says i get it as long as im going to school but it didn't say what kind. i live in Ashland Ky and any other information you need i will give.
