How much for gas money?

I'm heading down to southern Wisconsin for the holiday break and a friend is going to give me a ride there. It takes about 6 hours to drive from Ashland to Madison. I'm going to give her gas money but I am not sure exactly how much I should give her. She is giving me, and another 2-3 people a ride back.
